1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services offered via the websites marriage-denmark.com and heirat.dk.
All services are provided exclusively by Marriage in Denmark ApS / Express Wedding ApS.
By using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Subject Matter and Provision of Services
2.1 Starter Plan – Online Application Preparation
-
Subject Matter:
The Starter Plan is a semi-automated online preparation service for applying for a marriage license in Denmark. It covers only the preparation of your application.
It is not a wedding booking with us. -
Scope of Service:
-
Automated online eligibility check
-
Individualised list of required documents
-
Secure upload of personal documents and data in the wedding portal portal.heirat.dk
-
Preparation of a customised application plan and checklist
-
Two expert reviews of submitted documents for completeness, readability and image quality
-
Provision of quality examples to help optimise documents
-
-
Important Note:
The customer must submit their application independently to the Danish Agency of Family Law (Familieretshuset) and pay the official fee of DKK 2,100 (as of 2025) directly by card. -
Completion of Service:
The service is considered delivered once the individual application plan has been sent to the customer and access to the portal has been provided.
2.2 Premium Plan
The Premium Plan is a more comprehensive, personal service including individual case handling, strategic advice and, if applicable, appointment reservations. It is also provided by Marriage in Denmark ApS / Express Wedding ApS.
3. Right of Withdrawal
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
-
Starter Plan:
As the Starter Plan is a semi-automated, individually tailored service which begins immediately after conclusion of the contract, there is no right of withdrawal under Art. 16(a) and (m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. The customer expressly agrees that we start executing the service before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal thereby expires. -
Premium Plan:
The customer has a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of conclusion of the contract, provided the service has not yet been fully performed and they have not agreed that we start execution before the end of the withdrawal period. The right of withdrawal expires if the service has been fully performed and the customer has expressly agreed that execution begins before the end of the withdrawal period.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must notify us (Marriage in Denmark ApS / Express Wedding ApS, Valby Langgade 129, st.tv., DK-2500 Valby, phone: +45 70 72 61 30, info@heirat.dk) of their decision by means of a clear statement (e.g. by letter or e-mail).
